Robotic Revolution: Starbucks Service at NAVER 1784 Tower

In South Korea's NAVER 1784 tower, around 100 service robots, known as Rookies, are transforming the Starbucks experience.

These robots, standing at 110 cm tall, deliver packages, documents, coffee, and food to staff who order via smartphones. They use miniature elevators for quick deliveries and operate on an AI, Robot, Cloud (ARC) platform and a private 5G network for intelligent coordination.

Managed remotely by a data center with 3D maps of the building, the robots exchange location and action commands with servers using 5G signals. They move at one meter per second and have cameras and sensors to avoid collisions. The building also features Ambidex, a dual-armed robot for safe customer interactions, and Roboport, a robot elevator.

This setup showcases the potential of automated customer service and intelligent delivery systems.
