The magazine's publisher, The Arena Group, initially denied the use of AI-generated content, blaming a contractor, AdVon Commerce, for the issue. However, sources familiar with the content creation process contradicted this claim, asserting that both the articles and the authors were AI-generated.

We used ChatGPT to predict the 2023 John Lewis Christmas advert asking for a title, main characters, structure, setting, story, sentiment, song and tagline based on the progression of the current adverts through the years.

And publications loved it. It was picked up by Huffington Post, Radio Times, Yahoo Sports and more with an average DR of 72!
